Chris taught Sophomore English for ten years. Six years into his career, Chris decided he was done with the traditional model of school and it was time to shake things up. Chris stopped whole class instruction and started blending. To further engage and motivate his kids, Chris turned his classroom into a video game with Gamification, Game-Based Learning, and introduced yearlong Alternate Reality games. Finally, Chris introduced Passion-Based Learning through his Be About It Project, a focus on communities of practice, and Bengal Buzz – a student-run news show that gave students a voice in the story of their school.
