Recently, Stephen Sawchuk, a writer for Education Week, posted a question on Twitter asking teachers to give some input on the recertification process in their state.
So I posted some thoughts.
Which led to an interview.
Which led to Stephen asking if I’d be willing to write a guest blog for their site.
Which ended up on the front page of their EdWeek website.
Sometimes crazy things happen when you step out of your comfort zone. I never think of myself as a writer…remember, I’m a math teacher. But writing is nothing more than communicating with words on paper or a screen. And as a teacher, I communicate every day to over 100 kids.
