STEM In The Summer (STEM Everyday #4)

0

Many of us have an image of summer as a carefree, happy time when the “kids can be kids.”

We might overlook the enriching experiences of summer camps, time with family, and trips to parks, museums or even the neighboring library. Children need constant opportunities to learn and practice their skills.

Don’t skip the opportunity to stay in and make homemade paper on that rainy summer day, or sew an iPad bag.  Think how many science elements are in making the paper and sewing is full of math properties as well as developing motor skills.  And  on those sunny days send them outside and let them be creative with sidewalk chalk.

It’s so true that summer time is fun time, but lets not forget that learning can also be fun time.  STEM Everyday keeps learning fun.
