My name is Chris Woods, and I created “DailySTEM” to provide educators and families with simple STEM resources that connect the real world to learning. Our kids need to see that STEM is all around us…in the backyard, at the store, in our homes, on TV and movies, in the news… everywhere!

Life:

  • I currently teach Math, Science, & STEM at Southwest Middle High Academia Bilingüe in Grand Rapids, MI, one of only a few English-Spanish Dual Language secondary schools in the US (2020-Present)
  • I previously taught High School Math (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Hands-on Geometry) in Calumet, MI (1999-2020)
  • I’m happily married to Sue (over 25 years) and father to 3 great kids (one of whom likes math, two who I’m still working on)
  • I’m the author of Daily STEM: How to Create a STEM Culture in your Classrooms & Communities from CodeBreaker Books
  • I’m the host of the STEM Everyday Podcast, and with over 300 episodes in the past decade, it’s the top STEM podcast
