Teachers are on the front lines of education…they need support, ideas, confidence, and encouragement to build STEM into their classrooms and school culture. But too often, STEM can feel like rocket science. That’s where I help!
Adding STEM to a classroom doesn’t need to be expensive, boring, or complicated. Educators just need simple, practical tools & ideas for adding STEM to their everyday classroom. I’ve spent 25 years building STEM learning into my own classroom, and my students love it! I’ve shared these simple ideas at conferences, professional development days, and on my podcast and YouTube. I’ve even written a book about STEM to help educators build a STEM culture in their classrooms & communities! I know what its like to sit through boring professional development, so I’m don’t do boring. I’ve been a radio DJ and podcaster, so I know how to adjust on the fly & keep things flowing smoothly. I’ve been a math and science teacher, so I know the importance of making things relevant & exciting. I’ve taught elementary kids up to high school kids, so I know the challenges that different grade level teachers face. I’ve worked closely with special education teachers, so I know that some kids need a different approach. And I’ve worked with a limited budget, so my ideas are simple, easy, and usually free.
